Scientific Calculator
A full scientific calculator for arithmetic, trigonometry, logarithms, powers, roots, factorials, constants and memory. Everything runs in your browser — your input is never sent anywhere and nothing is stored.
How to use the scientific calculator
- Tap the buttons or type with your keyboard to build an expression in the display.
- Use the DEG / RAD toggle to choose how trigonometric functions read angles.
- Press = (or Enter) to evaluate; ⌫ deletes and AC clears everything.
- Store running totals with the memory keys: M+, M-, MR and MC.
Supported functions include sin, cos, tan and their inverses, ln,
log, exp, sqrt, powers with ^, factorial with !,
percentages with %, and the constants π and e.

Frequently asked questions
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Every calculation runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server and nothing is stored. You can use it offline once the page has loaded.
Does it use JavaScript eval()?
No. The calculator uses a safe tokenizer and shunting-yard parser that converts your expression to RPN and evaluates it with explicit rules. It never runs your input as code, so it cannot execute arbitrary scripts.
What is the difference between DEG and RAD?
The toggle controls how trigonometric functions interpret angles. In DEG mode, sin(90) is 1; in RAD mode, angles are in radians so sin(π/2) is 1. Inverse functions (asin, acos, atan) return the same unit.
How do the memory keys work?
M+ adds the current result to memory, M- subtracts it, MR recalls the stored value into the display, and MC clears memory. An indicator shows when a value is held.
Can I type with my keyboard?
Yes. Digits, operators + - * /, parentheses, ., % and ^ type directly. Enter or = evaluates, Backspace deletes, and Escape clears everything.
Why do I get an error?
An error means the expression is incomplete or invalid — for example unbalanced parentheses, a stray operator, or a division by zero. Fix the highlighted input and evaluate again; your previous entry stays in the display.
