How to use the text tools

  1. Paste or type your text in the Input box — usually one item per line.
  2. Click any operation, such as Sort A–Z, Remove duplicates or UPPERCASE. The result appears in the Output box without changing your input.
  3. Use Use output as input to chain several operations, then Copy output when you are done.

The live stats bar shows the character, word and line count of your current input, so you can clean a list and check its size at a glance.

Frequently asked questions

What can the Text Tools & Cleaner do?

It applies one-click operations to your text: sort lines (A–Z or Z–A), remove duplicate or empty lines, trim spaces from each line, collapse extra spaces, remove line breaks, add line numbers, reverse lines or characters, change case (UPPERCASE, lowercase, Capitalize Each Word) and shuffle lines.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. Every operation runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server and nothing is stored. It is safe for text you would not want to transmit.

Does it change my original input?

No. Operations are non-destructive: your input textarea is left untouched and the result is written to the output box. Use Use output as input to chain several operations together.

How does removing duplicate lines work?

It keeps the first occurrence of each line and drops later repeats. Turn on case-insensitive to treat lines that differ only in letter case as duplicates.

What is the difference between trim and remove extra spaces?

Trim each line removes only leading and trailing whitespace from every line. Remove extra spaces also collapses runs of multiple spaces inside a line down to a single space.

Does it handle Unicode and emoji?

Yes. Sorting, case changes and counting all work on standard Unicode text, so accented letters, non-Latin scripts and emoji are handled correctly.
