How the fraud score works
The Fraud Score runs from 0 (lowest risk) to 100 (highest risk). It rises for a proxy / VPN / Tor IP, a datacenter / hosting IP, and for each email blacklist (Spamhaus, Spamcop, Barracuda, SORBS) the address is on. A low score looks clean; a high score looks risky — useful for spotting suspicious logins, fraudulent orders and bots. A residential IP with no blacklist hits scores lowest.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Fraud Score?
The Fraud Score rates how risky an IP address looks, from 0 (lowest risk) to 100 (highest risk). A low score looks clean; a high score shows risk signals like being a proxy, VPN, datacenter or being on an email blacklist.
What raises the fraud score?
Being flagged as a proxy, VPN or Tor, belonging to a datacenter / hosting provider, or appearing on a DNSBL blacklist (Spamhaus, Spamcop, Barracuda, SORBS) all push the score up. A residential IP with no blacklist hits scores lowest.
What are the blacklist checks?
We query the public DNS blacklists used to fight spam — Spamhaus, Spamcop, Barracuda and SORBS — and show whether the IP is listed on each. A "No" on all is best.
Can I check any IP, not just mine?
Yes. Your own IP is checked automatically; type any IPv4 address in the box and press Check to score it.
Is it free and private?
It is free with no registration. The lookup runs in real time and nothing is stored. The browser section is computed on your device only.
Why does a VPN raise the score?
VPNs and proxies share IPs among many users and are common in fraud, so they are rated riskier by default — even when you are using one for privacy.
