How the click speed test works

  1. Pick a duration (5 seconds is the classic).
  2. Click the big area to start, then click as fast as you can until time runs out.
  3. Your CPS (clicks per second) and total clicks are shown — beat your best score.

Useful for testing a mouse, warming up for games, or just competing with friends. Your fastest result for each duration is saved on your device.

Frequently asked questions

What is CPS?

CPS means clicks per second — how many times you can click in one second on average. This test counts your clicks over a set time and divides by the seconds to give your CPS.

What is a good CPS score?

Around 6–8 CPS is solid for normal clicking. Fast clickers reach 8–10, and special techniques like jitter or butterfly clicking can go higher. On a phone, tapping speeds are usually a little lower.

How does the timer work?

The clock starts on your first click, not when the page loads, and runs for the duration you pick (1 to 100 seconds). When time is up, clicking stops and your result is shown.

Does it save my best score?

Yes, your best CPS for each duration is kept in your browser, so you can try to beat it. Nothing is uploaded to a server.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes — tap the area instead of clicking. Touch screens may read taps slightly differently from a mouse.

Is it free?

Completely free, no sign-up. Click the area to start a new round any time.
