Find and Replace
Replace text across a whole block at once, with match-case, whole-word and regular-expression options. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.
How to use find and replace
- Paste your text, then type what to Find and what to Replace with.
- Toggle Match case, Whole word or Regex as needed — the result updates live with a count of replacements.
- Copy the result, or use it as the new input to chain several replacements.
With Regex on, use patterns like \d+ and capture groups such as $1 in the replacement for powerful, precise edits.

Frequently asked questions
Does it replace every match at once?
Yes. Every match of your search is replaced across the whole text in one go, and the number of replacements made is shown.
Can I match whole words only, or ignore case?
Yes. Match case makes the search case-sensitive, and Whole word only matches when the text stands alone (so "cat" will not match inside "category").
Does it support regular expressions?
Yes. Turn on Regex to use JavaScript regular expressions in the Find box, and reference capture groups in the Replace box with $1, $2, and so on.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The find and replace runs entirely in your browser; nothing is sent to or stored on a server.
What if my regex is invalid?
The tool simply shows a short note and leaves your text unchanged until the pattern is valid, so nothing is lost.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free with no sign-up. Paste, replace, and copy the result as many times as you like.
