Random Picker

Draw random winners from a list, spin a wheel of names, roll dice or flip coins. Every result uses your browser's cryptographic randomness for a fair draw — everything runs in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere or stored.

How to use the Random Picker

  1. Choose a mode: List Picker, Wheel of Names, Dice Roller or Coin Flip.
  2. For the list modes, type your items one per line.
  3. Set how many winners to draw, whether to allow repeats, then click Pick winner — or Shuffle list to randomize the whole list.
  4. Spin the wheel, roll the dice or flip coins and read the result instantly.

Every draw uses crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling for an unbiased result, so no item is ever favored. It is perfect for giveaways, raffles, classroom name draws, team decisions and tabletop games.

Frequently asked questions

How random is the Random Picker?

Every draw uses your browser's cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues) with rejection sampling, so each item has an equal, unbiased chance. If that generator is unavailable the tool falls back to Math.random. Nothing about the outcome is predictable or stored.

Can I pick more than one winner at a time?

Yes. In the List Picker set the number of winners to draw. You can also choose no repeats (each winner is removed from the pool so it cannot be drawn again) or allow repeats (every draw uses the full list).

What is the Wheel of Names?

It draws your list items as colored segments on a spinning wheel. Press Spin and the wheel animates to a stop on a randomly chosen segment, then shows the winner — a fun, visual way to pick a name for giveaways, classrooms or team decisions.

Which dice can the Dice Roller roll?

You can roll from 1 to 6 dice at once, each with 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 20 sides (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20). The tool shows every die's result and the combined total.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. Picking, spinning, rolling and flipping all run entirely in your browser — your list and results are never uploaded to a server and nothing is stored.

What can I use the Random Picker for?

Giveaway and raffle winners, choosing who goes first, drawing names for Secret Santa, splitting people into groups, picking a restaurant or movie, settling decisions with a coin flip, and tabletop or board-game dice rolls.
