Split PDF
Extract a range of pages, split a PDF into individual pages, or break it into chunks of N pages. Everything runs in your browser — your file is never uploaded anywhere and nothing is stored.
Every page becomes its own PDF; all of them are delivered together in a ZIP file.
The document is cut into chunks of this many pages, delivered in a ZIP file.
How to split a PDF
- Drop a PDF onto the box above, or click choose a file. The total page count appears once it loads.
- Pick a mode: extract a page range, split into individual pages, or split every N pages.
- Set the range or chunk size, then click Split PDF. A single PDF downloads directly; multiple files arrive as a ZIP.
The whole process happens on your device, so even large or confidential PDFs never leave your browser.

Frequently asked questions
How does splitting a PDF work here?
You pick a PDF from your device and choose a mode — extract a page range, split into individual pages, or split every N pages. The tool reads the pages, builds the new PDF file(s) and hands them back to you as a single file or a .zip. It all happens on this page.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is opened and split entirely in your browser — the file is never uploaded to a server and nothing is stored. It is safe for private or confidential documents.
What is the difference between the three modes?
Extract a page range makes one new PDF containing pages X to Y. Split into individual pages makes one PDF per page, delivered together in a ZIP. Split every N pages breaks the document into equal chunks (for example every 5 pages) and delivers those chunks in a ZIP.
How do I choose a page range?
After you load a PDF the tool shows the total page count. Enter a from and to page within that range — for example from 3 to 8. The range is checked against the document so you cannot ask for a page that does not exist.
Why will my file not open?
The tool only reads valid PDF files. A file that is not a PDF, is corrupt, or is password-protected / encrypted cannot be split — you will see a clear message. Remove the password first, then try again.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied across to the new file exactly as they are, so text, images and fonts are preserved — there is no re-compression and no loss of quality.
