WHOIS Lookup
Look up any domain's registration details — registrar, creation and expiry dates, status, name servers and DNSSEC — via RDAP, the modern WHOIS. Fast, free and nothing is stored.
About WHOIS & RDAP
When a domain is registered, the registry records who registered it, through which registrar, when it was created and when it expires, the name servers it uses and any status locks. This tool reads that record live over RDAP — the structured, HTTPS-based successor to the classic WHOIS protocol — so the result is clean and machine-accurate. Most personal contact details are redacted for privacy, but registrar, dates, status and name servers remain public.

Frequently asked questions
What is WHOIS / RDAP?
WHOIS is the public directory of domain-name registrations. This tool uses RDAP — the modern, structured replacement for WHOIS — to read a domain's registrar, creation / expiry / updated dates, status codes, name servers and DNSSEC state, over HTTPS.
Why is the registrant name hidden?
Since GDPR and similar privacy rules, most registries redact personal registrant details (name, email, phone) for individuals. You will usually still see the registrar, key dates, status and name servers — which is what matters for most checks.
What do the status codes mean?
Status codes describe locks on the domain, e.g. clientTransferProhibited (can't be transferred away) or serverHold (removed from the zone). They are set by the registrar or registry to protect or restrict the domain.
Why does a domain show no data?
Either the domain is unregistered (available), or its TLD does not publish RDAP/WHOIS the same way (some country-code TLDs restrict access). Double-check the spelling and the extension.
Do you store what I look up?
Results are briefly cached to keep the tool fast and polite to the registries, and nothing is tied to you. For DNS records use the DNS Lookup, and for certificates the SSL Checker.
